Collin Curtis Collin is charged with overseeing the daily operations of the company specifically engaging in oversight of investments, acquisitions and dispositions as well as new business development and sales of investment properties and both landlord and tenant representation. Prior to joining Harvard Companies, Collin brokered a variety of multi-family and luxury developments including numerous multi-family communities where his leadership role ranged from consulting with developers, builders, general contractors and architects to design floor plans and determine amenity packages and incentives to supporting the initial marketing thrust to the investor community with product presentations, marketing analysis and selling strategies. A graduate of University of Southern California with a BA in International Relations, Collin began working in real estate in Los Angeles after earning an MFA from Loyola Marymount University. His early accountabilities in this capacity included serving as the sales liaison for a $50 million dollar residential luxury townhome development with Dalton, Brown and Long (DBL) in Los Angeles where he was responsible for pre-sales and interfacing with the developers in every aspect of the project during construction. A strong motivator, Collin’s entrepreneurial drive and proven ability to manage large teams enables him to quickly find synergy between various groups on any given project and ultimately produce results while serving the clients needs.
Nicole currently serves as Harvard Companies’ sales and marketing director, specializing in commercial brokerage for our high net worth clients, researching commercial properties for acquisition or development by the company and its clients. She has served as both a Texas licensed real estate broker and liaison in real estate transactions, preparing and reviewing all necessary documents for use in acquisitions, leases and sales of properties. Nicole is our point person for the development of relationships with many of our clients, and has negotiated contracts with countless buyers and sellers. Most recently, she was involved in researching, developing and preparing information and documentation for a major entertainment development planned to be located Dallas County. In the past, she has worked with the marketing research firm, Plaza Research, and with West Plano Medical Center. Nicole attended the University of Michigan and graduated, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas. Nicole’s skills in research and client representation allow her to provide our clients with the most recent and accurate information on commercial real estate development and company activities.
Senior Vice President - Development David has worked in nearly every area of real estate development, ranging from planning and acquisition to construction and completion. A graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard School of Business, where he earned an MBA, Dave has served as Manager of Land Acquisition, Market Research and Feasibility Analysis for the largest residential developer in New England. While there, he acquired land for thousands of single and multifamily residences, together with hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial development property. He also created and implemented Phase I of the company’s national expansion strategy. He has recently brokered the $18 million sale of a 116,000 sf shopping center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, represented the buyers of a medical office building in Colorado, as well as a $200 million office portfolio, and currently represents the seller of 200 million tons of coal reserves in Colorado. In the past, Dave also served as Vice President of Real estate Assets for a major convenience store chain and has served as a mortgage broker on a variety of properties, including a $7 million refinancing of a shopping center in Las Vegas and a $9 million loan on Best Western’s new reservation center in Phoenix. David has worked as an independent consultant serving investors, developers, financial institutions and governmental entities. Dave’s knowledge and background give him a unique understanding of commercial real estate development, allowing to both serve and represent our clients from the beginning of a deal to completion.
Attorney, Legal Affairs James is an attorney and marketing consultant, providing an unusual one-two combination in real estate development. As an attorney, he has represented corporations and individuals, negotiating agreements, preparing contracts and representing clients in court. He has represented clients in Texas and other states, leading him to the unusual circumstance of holding licenses to practice in federal courts in both Texas and Michigan. As a marketing consultant and communications strategist, he has had an international clientele, with clients in Asia, Canada, South America, Europe and throughout the United States. His recent marketing clients include: Agora Financial, City of Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, El Sol Media Communications, Feet in Motion, the Masterlink Group, Old Republic Home Protection, Plastipak, Inc., Thai Diabetic Tea, Trovada Marketing Communications and Waller Technologies. James can not only guide our clients through the legal web of real estate development, he also provides marketing acumen to any project he is involved in.
Project/Construction Management/Value Engineering Ed brings a wealth of operational and organization management skills to any project he’s involved in. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design and a Master’s in Architecture, Ed has proven that he is one of the top project managers available. In fact, he currently provides project management, executive and operational support on a consulting basis for numerous companies. In the past he’s served as Executive Vice-President for the Amend Group (formerly WorkPlaceUSA, Inc.), an integrated professional real estate and development company. While there, he was responsible for P&L, as well as organizational and operational functions. During his seven year tenure with Amend, he held several executive level management positions while building a project management organization that consistently achieved extraordinary results. His knowledge and expertise includes program and operational management, process development and implementation. His broad experience includes serving as Executive Vice President of Development for CiCi Enterprises, Inc. and for U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. After serving as a Professor for the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University, Ed spent the first five years of his career in management positions at CRSS Architects & Engineers and Scott & Strong Architects. From the planning stages of a development to completion, Ed possesses the knowledge and skills to see to it that project is completed on time and on budget, always exceeding expectations.
Rachel, a second semester Junior at SMU, is majoring in Marketing at the Cox School of Business with a minor in Spanish. A member of the SMU Honor Council and published author, Rachel brings outstanding creativity and leadership to all her collegiate activities from her active involvement in campus life to her work with community and civic projects. Currently, she serves as the Executive Assistant to Harvard's CEO overseeing all aspects of daily operations including extensive data analysis and organization of a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.
Nirav Soni
Nirav is entering his senior year at Southern Methodist University where he has a double major in Real Estate Finance and Economics with an emphasis in investment analysis and portfolio management. He previously interned with Phillips Commercial during the summer of 2008.
Nirav assists in real estate research and analysis for Harvard. Coming from a family of hotel developers, he already possesses a keen understanding of real estate development and investments and has become an invaluable member of the Harvard team.
Andrea Kvetova Andrea is an international student from the Czech Republic who graduated from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in 2007, majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. She is currently pursuing her graduate degree at SMU where she plans to receive an MA with an emphasis in International Economics, graduating in December 2008. Andrea assists with the daily operations of the company as an administrative and research assistant. An All-American track athlete, she consistently demonstrates the highest quality of excellence, commitment and dedication in every project she accomplishes and truly exemplifies the Harvard spirit.
Hafizan Hamzah A Senior at Southern Methodist University, Hafizan studies at the Cox School of Business with a undergraduate major in Finance and a minor in Economics. Hafizan is a research analyst for Harvard “farming” submarkets in and around the Central Business District.
Chris Qvale A Senior Real Estate Finance major at the Cox School of Business, Chris has previously interned with two northern California companies, FH One Real Estate Investments, in which he assisted principals in landlord representation and JMP Securities, in which he supported investment bank analysts with PIPE and IPO transactions. Chris currently assists Harvard’s Brokers as a research analyst.
